KOLUNDZIJA CASE ("Keraterm camp"):

INITIAL APPEARANCE HEARING SUSPENDED

EVIDENTIARY HEARING ON THE ACCUSED’S IDENTITY ON 24 JUNE 1999

The initial appearance hearing of Dragan Kolundzija began as scheduled on Monday 14 June 1999 before Trial Chamber III (Judges May (Presiding), Bennouna and Robinson) but was not completed.

Counsel for the accused submitted that his client was not the person named in the "Sikirica & others" indictment ("Keraterm Camp") of 21 July 1998. The accused contends that the name, date and place of birth given in the indictment are not his. He also denies any link with the Keraterm camp.

The Trial Chamber ordered that both parties give written submissions on this matter by Monday 21 June 1999. An evidentiary hearing will be held on Thursday 24 June 1999 at 2.30 p.m. Meanwhile, the accused remains in the custody of the Tribunal.
