Good afternoon,

Turning straight to the activities in the courtrooms:

In the case of Ratko Mladić, during Monday’s hearing the Chamber announced that the case would adjourn the weeks of 13 - 17 April as well as 25 – 29 May.

Now testifying in the case is Bojan Subotić, former officer in the Republika Srpska Army, whose testimony concerns the Srebrenica events in July 1995. The Mladić Defence has so far called 134 witnesses in court.

Proceedings in the case of Goran Hadžić have been cancelled for this week.

Moving onto Outreach activities, screenings will take place in Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia for the latest Outreach-produced documentary entitled Crimes before the ICTY: Central Bosnia, a film about some of the gravest crimes committed against civilians during the Croat – Muslim conflict in Central Bosnia between 1993 and 1994. The media will be informed about the accreditation details in due course.

Before concluding, I would like to announce my departure from the Tribunal after eight years of service. I would like to thank all journalists for excellent cooperation and their interest in the work of the Tribunal. My last day will be Friday, 13 March and until new permanent Spokesperson is appointed, all media inquiries should be directed to the ICTY Media Office.

Questions

Asked if there were any news in Hadžić case, Spalińska answered that the Defence‘s request for provisional release is still pending with the Trial Chamber.
