Republika Sprska Minister of Justice visits the Tribunal.

Today, Friday 28 July 2000, Mr. Cedo Vrzina, the Minister of Justice of the Republika Srpska, concluded a two-day visit to the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague.

During his visit, Minister Vrzina met with the President of the Tribunal, Judge Claude Jorda, the Registrar, Dorothee De Sampayo, and the Deputy Prosecutor, Graham Blewitt. Discussions focused on matters of cooperation between the Tribunal and the Republika Srpska. The Minister also visited the United Nations’ Detention Unit.

The Justice Minister was appointed to his current position in April of this year. His visit follows those of Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on 29 May 2000, and the Vice President of the Republika Srpska, Mirko Sarovic, on 5 June 2000.
