I, Claude Jorda, President of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 (hereinafter "the International Tribunal"),

NOTING that the terms of office of permanent Judges Almiro Rodrigues, Fouad Riad and Patricia Wald expired on 16 November 2001,

NOTING document IT/197 of the International Tribunal (hereinafter "Doc. IT/197") dated 23 November 2001 regarding the new composition of the Appeals Chamber and the Trial Chambers,

PURSUANT to Article 14 of the Statute of the International Tribunal (hereinafter "the Statute") and Rule 27 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence (hereinafter "the Rules"),

NOTING the election of permanent Judges El Abbassi Elmahdi and Alphons Orie by the United Nations General Assembly on 14 March 2001,

HAVING CONSULTED the permanent Judges of the International Tribunal,

FOR THE FOREGOING REASONS,

DECIDE that, in case IT-01-46-PT, Trial Chamber I shall be composed as follows:

Judge Alphons Orie
