TRIAL CHAMBER II ("Trial Chamber") of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("Tribunal"),

PURSUANT TO Rule 64 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("Rules");

CONSIDERING that the Indictment against Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markač ("Accused") dated 19 February 2004, was confirmed by Judge Parker on 24 February 2004;

CONSIDERING that the ex parte and under seal Warrant of Arrest and Order for Surrender of Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac was issued by Judge Parker on 24 February 2004;(1)

CONSIDERING that the Accused were transferred to the seat of the Tribunal on 11 March 2004;

CONSIDERING the initial appearance of the Accused was held on 12 March 2004 pursuant to Rule 62 of the Rules;

HEREBY ORDERS the detention on remand of the Accused and enjoins the Commanding Officer of the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague to detain the Accused until further order.
