I, Florence Mumba Vice President, Acting President of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 (hereinafter the "Tribunal"),

ACTING pursuant to sub-Rule 22 (A) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules"),

NOTING the transfer of the accused Stanislav Galic (the "accused") to the seat of the International Tribunal on 21 December 1999,

CONSIDERING that, Almiro Simões Rodrigues President of the Trial Chamber I and Judge Patricia Wald are absent on leave,

CONSIDERING that pursuant to sub-Rule 15(E) the holding of an initial appearance under Rule 62 of the Rules is a routine matter,

PURSUANT to Rules 15, 22 and 62 of the Rules,

HEREBY DECIDE to assign the case relating to the Accused to the Trial Chamber I, composed of:

Judge Almiro Simões Rodrigues (Presiding)

Judge Fouad Riad

Judge Patricia Wald

AND FURTHER ORDERS that Judge Fouad Riad, may sitting alone under Rule 62 of the Rules, hold an initial appearance for the Accused.
