2 [Open session]

3 [The accused entered court]

4 --- Upon commencing at 9.07 a.m.

5 JUDGE ORIE: Good morning to everyone. Madam Registrar, would you

6 please call the case.

7 THE REGISTRAR: Case number IT-00-39-T, the Prosecutor versus

8 Momcilo Krajisnik.

9 JUDGE ORIE: Thank you very much, Madam Registrar.

10 Mr. Harmon, I hope that you can address us again, you and your

11 voice.

12 MR. HARMON: Yes, I can. Thank you very much, Your Honour. Good

13 morning. I'm sorry for the inconvenience yesterday. I'm ready to proceed

14 today.

15 JUDGE ORIE: Thank you very much. The first witness you call is a

16 protected witness. I'm a bit confused about what pseudonym to use, but if

17 you could --

18 MR. HARMON: Yes, Your Honour. If we -- the next witness is a

19 witness whose testimony will proceed in closed session.

20 JUDGE ORIE: Yes.

21 MR. HARMON: I would suggest that he proceed on the pseudonym of

22 BT21.

23 JUDGE ORIE: BT21. Thank you, Mr. Harmon. If there's nothing

24 else to be discussed at this moment, I'd like to turn into closed session.

25 Mr. Stewart.

1 MR. STEWART: Just a couple of things, Your Honour.

2 JUDGE ORIE: Yes.

3 MR. STEWART: The -- there's just one, actually. And I'll say

4 this in open session because I'll just say it very, very briefly. And if

5 anything needs to be explored, it may have to be left to the closed

6 session anyway. But, Your Honour, we inquire what the position is and

7 what progress has been made and what inquiries have been completed in

8 relation to the witness who was heard in closed session before. We have

9 very much made the point that it's necessary for regular updates to be

10 sought and given in relation to that matter.

11 JUDGE ORIE: Yes. I should have informed you yesterday. I'll do

12 that in closed session. We received a first report. Thank you for

13 reminding the Chamber.

14 Then if that was it, then I'd like to turn into closed session.
