I, MOHAMED SHAHABUDDEEN, Judge of the Appeals Chamber of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("the International Tribunal"),

NOTING that the Appeals Chamber is seised of notices of appeal filed by Zoran Vukovic and Radomir Kovac on 6 March 2001, and by Dragoljub Kunarac on 7 March 2001, from the Judgement of Trial Chamber II, dated 22 February 2001, in the case of Prosecutor v. Dragoljub Kunarac, Zoran Vukovic and Radomir Kovac;

NOTING that sub-Rule 65bis(B) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules") requires "StChe Appeals Chamber or an Appeals Chamber Judge" to "convene a status conference, within one hundred and twenty days of the filing of a notice of appeal and thereafter within one hundred and twenty days after the last status conference, to allow any person in custody pending appeal the opportunity to raise issues in relation thereto, including the mental and physical condition of that person";

CONSIDERING that Dragoljub Kunarac, Zoran Vukovic and Radomir Kovac are currently in detention at the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague pending the hearing of the appeal;

CONSIDERING further that the last Status Conference pursuant to sub-Rule 65(bis)B of the Rules was held on 25 June 2001;

PURSUANT to sub-Rule 65bis(B) of the Rules;

HEREBY ORDER that a Status Conference shall be held before me on Tuesday, 16 October 2001 at 14.30 p.m.
