THE TRIAL CHAMBER

 

NOTING the Motion of the Prosecutor on 19 December 1997 ("Motion") requesting that the filing of motions and responses by all parties in this case, other than those relating to provisional release, be held in abeyance pending an intended application by the Prosecutor for leave to amend the indictment against the accused, and the reasons stated therein,

 

NOTING the Order for Filing of Motions issued by this Trial Chamber on 15 December 1997 ("Order") requiring the parties to submit their responses to various motions now pending before the Trial Chamber by Friday 9 January 1998,

 

NOTING FURTHER that a status conference has been scheduled in this case for Friday 16 January 1998,

 

CONSIDERING the desire of the Trial Chamber to proceed expeditiously with all matters pertaining to this case,

 

PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules

 

HEREBY ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:

the date for the defence to file their responses to the Prosecutor’s Motions for Protection of Victims and Witnesses set out in the Order of 15 December 1997 is confirmed;

the date for the Prosecutor to file her response to the defence Motions based on Defects in the Form of the Indictment is temporarily vacated, pending the filing by the Prosecutor of an application for leave to amend the indictment;

the Prosecutor is invited to file her motion for leave to amend the indictment as soon as possible and, if practicable, before the status conference to be held on 16 January 1998.
