THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

BEING SEISED of a "Motion for deposition evidence" filed by the Office of the Prosecutor ("Prosecution") on 9 April 1999 and the various responses of the Defence thereto,

NOTING the filing of the Amended Indictment by the Prosecution on 31 May 1999, pursuant to the "Decision on Defence preliminary motions on the form of the indictment" issued by the Trial Chamber on 12 April 1999,

HAVING HEARD the parties at a pre-trial conference on 3 June 1999 and wishing also to regulate the conduct of further proceedings in this matter,

PURSUANT TO Rules 54 and 73 bis of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules"),

HEREBY ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:

  1. the Defence shall file their submissions, if any, as to the changes reflected in the Amended Indictment by Thursday 17 June 1999;
  2. the parties shall meet to clarify the outstanding issues as to the taking of deposition evidence and shall file a list of witnesses for both the Prosecution and the Defence, for whom it is agreed that deposition evidence may be taken, together with the current whereabouts of those witnesses, no later than Thursday 1 July 1999;
  3. the Prosecution shall file its list of witnesses pursuant to Rule 73 bis (B)(iv) by Friday 3 September 1999;
  4. the Defence shall each file a pre-trial brief by Friday 3 September 1999;
  5. a further conference shall be held on Monday 27 September 1999 commencing at 2.30 p.m.
