I, Judge Liu Daqun, Presiding Judge of Trial Chamber I ("the Chamber") of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("the Tribunal");

NOTING Resolution 1481 (2003) adopted by the United Nations Security Council on 19th May 2003, amending Article 13 quater of the Statute of the Tribunal so as to enable the ad litem Judges of the Tribunal to adjudicate in pre-trial proceedings;

NOTING the Trial Chamber’s decision of 20th February 2003 to designate me as the Pre-Trial Judge in the case the Prosecutor vs. Fatmir LIMAJ, Haradin BALA and Isak MUSLIU, Case No.: IT-03-66-PT;

PURSUANT to Rule 65ter of the Tribunal’s Rules of Procedure and Evidence;

HEREBY DESIGNATE Judge Joaquín Martín Canivell as Pre-Trial Judge in this case.
