I, MOHAMED BENNOUNA, Judge of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia Since 1991 ("the International Tribunal"),

HAVING BEEN APPOINTED as pre-trial Judge in this matter by virtue of an Order of the Trial Chamber dated 3 February 2000,

BEING SEISED of a "Prosecution’s Motion for Extension of Time to Comply with the Trial Chamber’s Order of 11 May 2000" ("the Motion") filed by the Office of the Prosecutor ("the Prosecution") on 24 May 2000,

NOTING the Order issued by the pre-trial Judge on 11 May 2000, which directed the Prosecution to file an amended pre-trial brief, and its witness list by Thursday 1 June 2000, and scheduled a status conference on Wednesday 7 June 2000,

NOTING the Scheduling Order issued by the pre-trial Judge on 31 March 2000,

HAVING REVIEWED the reasons set out in the Motion,

CONSIDERING that difficulties concerning the preparation for an expeditious trial will be addressed at the scheduled status conference, and without pronouncing on the merit of the arguments given in support of the Motion,

HEREBY SUSPEND the time-limit for the filing of the amended pre-trial brief and of the witness list, AND remain seised of the Motion.
