THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),
NOTING the resignation of His Honour Judge Richard May, effective 31 May 2004, for reasons related to his health, and therefore his inability to continue to act as Presiding Judge of this Trial Chamber,
CONSIDERING that Article 14 (7) of the Statute of the International Tribunal ("Statute") provides that
7. The permanent judges of each Trial Chamber shall elect a Presiding Judge from amongst their number, who shall oversee the work of the Trial Chamber as a whole.
