THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

BEING SEISED of an application to file an amicus curiae brief submitted by Ernest L. Levine and filed on 24 January 2002,

NOTING the Order of the Trial Chamber of 30 August 2001 inviting the Registrar of the International Tribunal to designate amicus curiae in this matter,

CONSIDERING the designation by the Registrar of the International Tribunal of amicus curiae on 6 September 2001,

PURSUANT to Rules 54 and 74 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal HEREBY REFUSES the application and INSTRUCTS that all future unsolicited applications for leave to appear as amicus curiae in this matter shall be dealt with by the Registrar of the International Tribunal.
