2 [Further Initial Appearance]

3 [Open session]

4 --- Upon commencing at 4.00 p.m.

5 JUDGE RODRIGUES: [Interpretation] You have just heard the decision

6 of the Trial Chamber, and I should like to give the floor to Mr. Lukic at

7 this point and ask him whether he has explained to his client the

8 significance of the present amendments and, in particular, counts 11 and

9 14.

10 MR. LUKIC: Yes, Your Honours. I explained to my defendant in

11 detail all the changes, and right now we want to waive the right of

12 reading the whole indictment. If the Chamber finds it appropriate,

13 certain portions could be read to my defendant.

14 JUDGE RODRIGUES: [Interpretation] Thank you very much, Mr. Lukic,

15 for your concern and attention. We will do just what you have suggested.

16 Mr. Stakic, would you please rise. Dr. Stakic, have you

17 understood the meaning of the new amendments; that is, the meaning of

18 counts 11 and 14? Have they been explained to you by your counsel?

19 THE ACCUSED: [Interpretation] Yes, Your Honour.

20 JUDGE RODRIGUES: [Interpretation] Mr. Stakic, are you ready to

21 enter a plea on the basis of these new counts; that is, to state whether

22 you feel guilty or not guilty?

23 THE ACCUSED: [Interpretation] Yes, Your Honour.

24 JUDGE RODRIGUES: [Interpretation] Very well, then. I am now going

25 to ask Madam Registrar to read only count 11 at this point, count 11 of

7 guilty or not guilty, to this new count of the indictment, count number

8 11?

9 THE ACCUSED: [Interpretation] Not guilty, Your Honour.

10 JUDGE RODRIGUES: [Interpretation] Very well. Madam Registrar, can

11 we now have count number 14, please.
