ORDER FOR RELEASE OF AUDIO-VISUAL RECORD AND PERMITTING PHOTOGRAPHY

I, Judge Alphons Orie, Judge of Trial Chamber I ("Trial Chamber") of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("Tribunal"),

NOTING the Scheduling Order of 6 December 2004 for an Initial Appearance in this case;

NOTING the request of several press attachés for authorization to take photographs and to record the proceedings on video;

PURSUANT TO RULE 81 (D) of the Rule of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal;

HEREBY ORDER that, subject to any further order of the Trial Chamber:

  1. the taking of still photographs by designated press photographers at the commencement of all proceedings in this matter is authorised as directed by the Chief of Security of the International Tribunal’s Security Service;
  2. the release of the audio visual record of all open sessions in this case is permitted as provided by the Registrar of the Tribunal.
