THIRD SCHEDULING ORDER FOR PREPARATION OF TRIAL
The Office of the Prosecutor:
Ms Hildegard Uertz-Retzlaff
Ms Peggy Kuo
Counsel for the Accused:
Mr Mihajlo Bakrac
Mr Miroslav Vasic
This Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991,
BEING SEISED of the "Defence Motion to Enlarge Time to Submit Pre-trial Brief" filed on 18 October 2000, in which the Defence requests an extension of time until 30 October 2000 in order to file its pre-trial brief and the rescheduling of the pre-trial conference,
NOTING the "Scheduling Order for Preparation of Trial" issued on 28 September 2000 ("First Scheduling Order") and the "Second Scheduling Order for Preparation of Trial" issued on 17 October 2000 ("Second Scheduling Order"),
CONSIDERING that good cause has not been shown for delaying the commencement of the trial, scheduled for 30 October 2000,
CONSIDERING HOWEVER that extending the date for the filing of the Defence pre-trial brief by two days should meet the concerns of the Defence and would not delay the commencement of the trial on 30 October 2000,
CONSIDERING ACCORDINGLY that the pre-trial conference will need to be rescheduled,
CONSIDERING that the Prosecutor has no objections,
PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules
HEREBY ORDERS that:
The Defence shall file its pre-trial brief on or before Wednesday, 25 October 2000.
The pre-trial conference will be held on Thursday, 26 October 2000 at 14:00.
The First Scheduling Order is varied accordingly.
All other dispositions made in the First and the Second Scheduling Orders remain unchanged.
Done this the nineteenth day of October 2000,
At The Hague,
[Seal of the Tribunal]
