THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),
NOTING the "Decision on the Defence Preliminary Motion on the Form of the Indictment" issued by the Trial Chamber on 24 February 1999, which directed the Prosecutor to, inter alia, file and serve an amended indictment by 26 March 1999 ("Time limit"),
FURTHER NOTING the "Prosecutors Motion for Extension of Time to File Amended Indictment" filed 18 March 1999 ("Motion") seeking an extension of the Time limit to 23 April 1999, on the basis of the illness of one of the prosecutions co-counsel,
FURTHER NOTING that the "Order for Filing of Motions" issued by the Trial Chamber on 17 June 1998 provides, inter alia, "unless specifically ordered otherwise, the receiving party has fourteen calendar days from the date of filing of the motion to file its response, if any",
DESIRING to make a decision upon the Motion prior to the expiry of the Time limit,
CONSIDERING the need to ensure a fair and expeditious trial pursuant to Article 20, paragraph 1, of the Statute of the International Tribunal ("Statute"),
PURSUANT to Article 20, paragraph 1 of the Statute and Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal,
HEREBY ORDERS that:
