THE TRIAL CHAMBER, proprio motu,
NOTING the two Motions for Order for Protection of Victims and Witnesses filed by the Office of the Prosecutor ("Prosecution") on 14 and 31 October 1997 and the response by counsel for two of the accused, Marinko Katava and Vladimir Santic, filed on 11 November 1997,
NOTING that no response to those Motions has been filed on behalf of any of the other accused,
NOTING the various Motions based on Defects in the Form of the Indictment filed on behalf of the six accused now in the custody of the International Tribunal, namely, Zoran Kupreskic, Mirjan Kupreskic, Marinko Katava,Vladimir Santic, Drago Josipovic and Dragan Papic,
DESIRING to regulate the filing of and response to motions in this matter,
PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("Rules"),
HEREBY ORDERS as follows:
the moving party shall include a draft order for relief with each motion submitted to the Trial Chamber;
subject to paragraphs (3) and (4) of this Order and unless specifically ordered otherwise, the receiving party has fourteen calendar days from the date of filing of the motion to file its response, if any;
the defence shall have until Friday 9 January 1998 to file their responses to the Motions for Order for Protection of Victims and Witnesses;
the Prosecution shall have until Friday 9 January 1998 to file its responses to the Motions based on Defects in the Form of the Indictment;
dates for further responses, if any, shall be set by the Trial Chamber upon request of either party;
there will be no oral argument on the motion unless specifically requested by counsel for either party and approved by the Trial Chamber, taking into account the need to ensure a fair and expeditious trial; and
the status conference scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday 16 January 1998 will now commence at 9 a.m.
