THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal");

BEING SEISED of a complaint by the Office of the Prosecutor during the course of the closed sessions on 15 and 16 May 1997 concerning the alleged publication of confidential information of the International Tribunal ("Complaint");

NOTING ARTICLE 20 of the Statute of the International Tribunal ("Statute") which obliges the Trial Chamber to ensure that a trial is fair and expeditious and that proceedings are conducted in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal;

NOTING FURTHER ARTICLES 21 AND 22 of the Statute which mandates the Trial Chamber to ensure full respect for the rights of the accused and due regard for the protection of victims and witnesses;

HEREBY REFERS the Complaint to the President of the International Tribunal so that he may deal with it as he deems appropriate.
