 2                          [Open session]

 3                          [The accused entered court]

4                          [The accused Miletic not present]

 5                           --- Upon commencing at 9.08 a.m.

6            JUDGE AGIUS:  Good morning to you, Madam Registrar.  Could you

 7    call the case, please?

8            THE REGISTRAR:  Good morning, Your Honours.  This is case number

9    IT-05-88-T, the Prosecutor versus Vujadin Popovic et al.

10            JUDGE AGIUS:  I thank you, ma'am.  For the record, all the accused

11    are -- no.  General Miletic is sick?  Or what?  No one advised me of that.

12            MS. FAUVEAU: [Interpretation] Your Honour, General Miletic has a

13    medical examination today and he waived his right to be presents during

14    this hearing.  He told me he agreed for the hearing to continue without

15    him being present.  You will receive his written authorisation during the

16    course of the hearing today.

17            JUDGE AGIUS:  Okay.  Thank you, Madam Fauveau.  From the Defence

18    teams I notice the absence of Mr. Lazarevic.  I think that's about it.

19    But I also notice a new face -- amongst the Beara Defence team.

20            MR. MEEK:  Mr. President, Your Honours, good morning, I'd like to

21    introduce Mr. Milan Stanic, attorney at law from Belgrade.

22            JUDGE AGIUS:  Welcome, Mr. Stanic.  I'm glad your name is much

23    more simpler to pronounce than to pronounce than Janisiewicz.

24            MR. STANIC: [Interpretation] Your Honours, I would like to thank

25    you for permitting me to attend today's hearing.  Thank you.

1            JUDGE AGIUS:  Thank you, Mr. Stanic.  Anyway, from the Prosecution

2    side, we have Mr. McCloskey and Ms. Janisiewicz.  By now it has become

 3    easy.

4            Any preliminaries?  None.  Let's go into closed session, please.
