[Status Conference]

[Open session]

--- Upon commencing at 10.09 a.m.

JUDGE SCHOMBURG: Once again, good morning. Please be seated for

the purpose of a Status Conference as foreseen in our Rules of Procedure

and Evidence. The first and main topic is today to ask Dr. Stakic in

person, what about his health? Do you have any problems at this point in

time; and in addition, do you have any complaints related to the situation

in the United Nations Detention Unit?

THE ACCUSED: [Interpretation] Good morning, Your Honours.

Currently, I have no problems which would deserve mention.

JUDGE SCHOMBURG: Thank you very much. You may be seated again.

Any other issues to be addressed in a Status Conference? This is

apparently not the case. Then let's express the hope that this was the

last Status Conference during the trial phase of this case because within

the next 120 days, at least we hope that we can hand down the judgement.

But as mentioned previously, we can't promise anything when we can hand

down the judgement. It's extremely difficult, but on the other hand we

are aware of the right of Dr. Stakic to know what will be the outcome of

the first instance in this case, and we will do whatever we can to be as

expeditious as possible.

I can't see any other contribution. And therefore, I hereby

declare this Status Conference closed. And I heard that for technical

reasons, it's not necessary to have an additional break.
