THE APPEALS CHAMBER
NOTING the Request for extension of time limit filed by the Defence on 8 September 1997, seeking an extension of time for filing the Appellants Brief from 29 October 1997 to 29 December 1997,
DESIRING to regulate the filing of and response to motions and applications in this matter,
PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence (the "Rules")
HEREBY ORDERS as follows:
(1) unless specifically provided for in the Rules or ordered otherwise, the receiving party has fourteen calendar days from the date of filing of the motion or application to file its response, if any;
(2) the Office of the Prosecutor shall therefore file its response to the Appellants Request for extension of time by Monday 22 September 1997,
(2) dates for further responses, if any, shall be set by the Appeals Chamber upon request of either party;
(3) there will be no oral argument on a motion or application unless specifically requested by counsel for either party and approved by the Appeals Chamber, taking into account the need to ensure fair and expeditious proceedings; and
(4) the moving party shall include a draft order for relief with each motion or application submitted to the Appeals Chamber.
