INTIAL APPEARANCE OF RADISLAV KRSTIC ON MONDAY 7 DECEMBER AT 11.00 A.M.


Following his detention on Wednesday 2 December 1998 by members of the SFOR forces, Radislav Kristic was subsequently transferred to the Detention Unit of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Thursday 3 December 1998.


Radislav Krstic will appear on Monday 7 December at 11.00 a.m. before Trial Chamber I (Judge Jorda (presiding), Judge Riad, and Judge Rodrigues). The purpose of this hearing, called an "initial appearance hearing", is to ask the accused to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty on each of the counts in the indictment against him.


This hearing is public and will take place in Courtroom I. All media representatives are invited to attend.
