MILORAD KRNOJELAC
GRANTED A FIVE-DAY PROVISIONAL RELEASE FOR FAMILY REASONS






On Thursday 12 December 2002, the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia granted Milorad Krnojelac a five-day provisional release in order to visit his terminally ill brother.




This request had been filed personally by the appellant on 14 November 2002. The Decision of the Appeals Chamber specifies a number of terms and conditions for his travel, his stay in his home town and his return to the Detention Unit.




Arrangements are being made by the Registry to implement the Appeals Chamber’s Decision.




A copy of the Decision can be obtained from the Public Information Services. It will also be released on the ICTY Internet Home page as soon as practically possible.
