VIDOJE BLAGOJEVIC AND DRAGAN JOKIC CASE:
TRIAL CHAMBER I CONDUCTS ON-SITE VISIT TO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

On 14 and 15 September 2004, Trial Chamber I Section A (Judges Liu, presiding, Vassylenko and Argibay) sitting on trial of Vidoje Blagojevic and Dragan Jokic conducted an on-site visit to the municipalities of Srebrenica, Bratunac and Zvornik in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

The Decision to conduct the visit was taken on the basis of a joint motion filed by both the Prosecution and Defence on 2 June 2004, in which the parties requested the visit to assist the Trial Chamber in assessing the evidence and to obtain first-hand knowledge of the sites mentioned in the indictment and during the trial.

Judges Liu, Vassylenko and Argibay would like to thank all of those involved in making the visit such a success, especially the police forces of the Federation of BiH and the Republika Srpska, SFOR and EUPM.
