VISIT TO THE ICTY BY DELEGATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC


On Wednesday 2 June 2004, a 26-member delegation of parliamentarians from the Czech Republic visited the ICTY during their two-day visit to international legal institutions located in The Hague.




The visit provided the parliamentarians with an opportunity to discuss the functions of the Tribunal with key ICTY figures. The delegation, led by the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, met with the President of the Tribunal, Judge Theodor Meron, the Registrar, Hans Holthuis, and Judge Ivana Janu, among others. The visit included a tour of one of the ICTY’s
courtrooms.




The visit was organized in conjunction with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
