Today, 17 November 2005, the swearing in of Judge Bakone Justice Moloto (South Africa) and the welcoming of former ICTY ad litem judge, Judge Christine Van den Wyngaert (Belgium), as a permanent judge marked the start of the fourth term of office for the ICTY permanent judges.


On 17 November 2004, the General Assembly elected Judges Moloto and Van den Wyngaert as permanent judges for a four year term replacing Judges Mumba (Zambia) and El Mahdi (Egypt).
