French Minister of Justice Visits Tribunal

The French Minister of Justice, Mr. Pascal Clément, paid a working visit to the Tribunal today. Minister Clément met with the Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, Tribunal Vice-President Judge Kevin Parker and a delegation of Tribunal judges. France was one of the first countries to propose establishing the Tribunal in 1992. France was also the first UN member state to pass a law governing methods of co-operation between the French legal system and the Tribunal.

The Tribunal welcomes the continued interest the French government has shown in the Tribunal and is grateful for its continued support.
