PRESIDENT MERON PAYS OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
Today, Friday 7 May 2004, the President of the Tribunal, Judge Theodor Meron, paid an official visit to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg at the invitation of the Rapporteur Group on Democratic Stability to the Committee of Ministers, to report on the state of cooperation between the states and entities of the former Yugoslavia, and the ICTY.
In the course of his visit, President Meron also met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mr. Walter Schwimmer, the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mr. Luzius Wildhaber, and Ambassador Joseph, the Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the Council of Europe and Chair of the Rapporteur Group on Democratic Stability.
