KOVACEVIC CASE: INITIAL APPEARANCE SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY 30 JULY 1997


The date for the initial appearance of the Accused MILAN KOVACEVIC has been set for Wednesday 30 July 1997 at 4.30 p.m.


During this hearing, the Accused will be asked to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty on each count of the indictment.


The initial appearance hearing will take place before Trial Chamber II composed of Judge Sir Ninian Stephen (presiding), Judge Adolphus Karibi-Whyte and Judge Saad Saood Jan.


The Prosecution will be led by Mr. Grant Niemann, Senior Trial Attorney.


The Accused, who will be present, will be represented by Mr. Igor Pantelic, attorney from Belgrade.
