Media Accreditation now closed for the testimony of Ratko Mladić in the case of Radovan Karadžić

Media accreditation has now closed for the testimony of Ratko Mladić in the case of Radovan Karadžić. Please see accreditation information and the list of accredited media below.

Accreditations must be collected between 8:00 and 8:45 am on 28 January from the Tribunal’s main entrance. Journalists are advised to keep the accreditation ticket throughout their stay in the building and the ticket is valid until the end of Mladić’s testimony.

Access to the Tribunal’s lobby:
Persons with accreditation to access the Tribunal’s lobby must remain within that area of the building. They will not be allowed into the public gallery of the Courtroom.

Access to Public Gallery:
Once in the court building persons who have been granted accreditation to access the public gallery of the courtroom are required to pass through an additional security check.  Persons will be required to show the public gallery accreditations. No electronic equipment whatsoever will be allowed in to the courtroom’s public gallery. Please do not carry mobiles, cameras or other such electronic devices.

It is possible to leave these items with the ICTY Security in the deposit boxes at the main entrance of the Tribunal. If you use ICTY storage, please plan for extra time to store your items and be reminded the Tribunal shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any items or equipment.

COURT BUILDING MEDIA FACILITIES
The Tribunal’s lobby will be equipped with work spaces, power outlets and WiFi. The hearing will be broadcast on screens in the lobby with a 30 minute delay. Break out boxes for the audio and video feeds are available. There are no public phones.

TELEVISION AND RADIO
No filming is allowed inside the Tribunal. The filming of the court proceedings is carried out by the ICTY. An audio-visual feed will be distributed with a thirty minute delay.

SNG TRUCKS

Limited space is available in the vicinity of the Tribunal’s building for SNG trucks. Parking is on a first-come-first-serve basis on Johan de Wittlaan along the side of the Tribunal. Please be advised that parking is only available from 7:30 am. We advise you to bring a reel of cable to plug-in to the outside break-out box in front of the Tribunal.

POST REDACTIONS

Please note the Tribunal's strict rules regarding post-redaction of court testimony. In case that any information imparted during testimony is later made confidential by the Trial Chamber, you will be immediately informed about it by the ICTY Media Office. Hard copies of the Trial Chamber decision will be made available in the Tribunal's lobby, as well as sent to the accredited journalists via e-mail.

Confidential information must not be used in your reports or publicised by you in any other way.
