KOVACEVIC CASE:

SCHEDULING OF A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE DEFENCE MOTION "TO ORDER PROVISIONAL RELEASE"

A closed status conference was held on Monday 24 November 1997 before Trial Chamber II-bis consisting of Judge May (Presiding), Judge Vohrah and Judge Mumba.

"By agreement with the parties", the hearing on the Defence Motion to order provisional release will resume on Friday 19 December 1997 at a time which will be specified at a later date.

This hearing will be public.

One recalls that the hearing on this motion, initially scheduled on Friday 31 October, was postponed pending the submission of medical reports (see Press Release 248). Trial Chamber II-bis has now ordered the Defence to file "the reports of all expert medical witnesses to be called by it" by Monday 1 December 1997, and the Prosecution to respond to such reports by Thursday 11 December 1997.
