Official Visit of Prosecutor Serge Brammertz to Montenegro

At the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Duško Marković, Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will travel to Podgorica, Montenegro on 9 and 10 October 2014. This is his first official visit to Montenegro.

Prosecutor Brammertz will meet with both state and judicial authorities of Montenegro. He will hold talks with President Filip Vujanović, Prime Minister Milo Ðukanović, and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Suljo Mustafić. The Prosecutor will also meet with Duško Marković, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Vesna Medenica, President of the Supreme Court and a representative of the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office. The topics to be discussed include the final phase of the Tribunal’s work, cooperation between the Office of the Prosecutor and Montenegrin institutions and the prosecution of war crimes by the Montenegrin judiciary.

Prosecutor Brammertz will also deliver a lecture at the University of Donja Gorica.
