The Trial Chamber today granted the provisional release request for Radivoje Miletić and Milan Gvero to return to Serbia from 21 July until 13 August, 2007 .


On 26 June 2007 , the accused filed a joint motion that was partially confidential asking for provisional release during the break in the trial. The Prosecution had no objections to the motion.


Both accused were high ranking military officials of the Bosnian Serb Army (VRS) and charged with crimes committed against Bosnian Muslims in the Srebrenica and ®epa enclaves in the summer of 1995 . According to the indictment, the accused participated in the murder, forcible transfer and deportation of the Muslim population resulting in the murder of over 7,000 Muslim men
and boys from Srebrenica by VRS and Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) forces.


The trial began on 14 July 2006 and the trial will resume after the summer recess on 20 August with the prosecution continuing its case-in-chief.
