Bosnian students keen to discuss the work of the ICTY

Konjic, 13 March 2012

Outreach representative Almir Alić today gave a presentation on the Tribunal’s work and achievements to a group of 30 fourth-year high school in the central Bosnian town of Konjic.

The two-hour multi-media presentation saw active participation from the students who asked questions both during and after the presentation. The youngsters were very interested in learning more about the Tribunal’s mandate and procedures, and in discussing issues such as the individualisation of guilt, witness protection, the status of ongoing cases and the Tribunal’s completion strategy.

As they departed after the conclusion of the event, the students were provided with materials containing additional information on the Tribunal and encouraged to visit the Tribunal’s website and social media sites.

The school management was extremely positive about the experience and expressed an interest in organising similar presentations in their school in the future.
