Outreach donates material to the Bosniak Institute

Sarajevo, 25 April 2013

The ICTY Registry Liaison Officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Almir Alić, today handed over a generous donation of publications produced over the past 20 years of the Tribunal’s work to representatives of the Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo. The Institute has a rich collection of original documents and reproductions from different periods in the history of BiH and neighbouring countries, serving as a valuable source of information on Bosnia’s past, as well as that of the former Yugoslavia as a whole.

Amila Rizvanbegović-Džuvić, director of the Bosniak Institute, thanked Almir for the donation, saying: “Our Institute’s Documentation Centre gathers and lists all available records and documents, printed local and international materials, photographs, and audio and video recordings related to the war in BiH, facilitating further scientific research into the events of the 90s. These ICTY materials will further enrich our collection concerning wartime events in BiH.”
