 Jim Landale, Spokesman for Registry andChambers, made the following statement:
 
 Good afternoon,  
 First, as you will haveseen, President Meron addressed the Security
 Council in New York on Monday. President
 Meron had already submitted his six-monthly
 written assessments and report to the
 Security Council in New York, pursuant
 to Security Council resolution 1534, as
 well as the assessment by the Prosecutor,
 and they were released at Headquarters
 in New York. In his report, President
 Meron set out in detail the progress made
 towards the implementation of the Tribunal’s
 completion strategy. Copies are available
 from the Media Office.
 
 Last Thursday, JudgeFlorence Mumba visited Neum, Bosnia and
 Herzegovina, as a guest of the Association
 of Judges of the Federation of Bosnia
 and Herzegovina and the Association for
 Criminal Law and Criminology of the Federation
 of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Judge Mumba
 gave a keynote speech on the topic "Sentencing
 for war crimes" in the largest annual
 gathering of criminal law practitioners
 from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 The visit was facilitated by the Outreach
 Programme of the Tribunal.
 
 The initial appearancesof Ivica Marijacic and Markica Rebic,
 and Stjepan Seselj and Domagoj Margetic
 were held yesterday 14 June 2005 at 1000
 a.m., at 2.15 p.m. respectively. All four
 entered pleas of not guilty.
 
 The appeal hearing inThe Prosecutor v. Miroslav Deronjic
 has been rescheduled for this Friday,
 17 June 2005, starting at 2.15 p.m.
 
 The pre-defence conferencein the Halilovic trial is due to be held
 on Thursday 23 June at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom
 III, followed by the opening of the Defence
 case the next day at 9 a.m. in the same
 courtroom with the Defence opening statement.
 The presentation of evidence in the defence
 case will commence on 27 June.
